Andrew Macklin, the editorial director of Actual Media and editor of ReNew Canada, Water Canada and the Top100 Projects Report, is leaving the company at the end of the year to pursue an executive communications role in the private sector.
Macklin was hired by Actual Media in June 2016 and over the last four and a half years, he has led many important editorial and event projects and product launches for the company. As the editorial director, he oversaw industry-leading content creation, curation and delivery for Actual Media’s readers, visitors and followers in the water, infrastructure and environment sectors.
“Andrew was an important part of Actual Media’s growth and a valued member of the executive” said Todd Latham, President of Actual Media. “He will be sorely missed, but our entire team is happy for him and we’re excited that we’ll continue to work with Andrew in his new role.”
Actual Media has begun a national search for a new editorial leader of the company but in the meantime, effective Jan. 1, 2021, Connie Vitello will expand her role as founding editor of EnvironmentJournal.ca to be the interim editor of ReNew Canada and Simran Chattha will continue her dedicated work in our water portfolio as the interim editor of Water Canada.
